GINGIN DARK SKY STAR PARTY

The Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory along with the Gingin Shire present the 3rd Annual Neergabby Star Party.

Presented as an annual event, the Neergabby Star Party seeks to attract local amateur astronomers and the general public from across Western Australia to come and experience the dark skies of the Gingin Dark Sky Reserve. This event will be held over the weekend of Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March 2024. We encourage visitors to stay a while and explore the region and experience everything Gingin has to offer.

The weekend will include amateur and public stargazing and amateur astrophotography at the Neergabby grounds on Friday and Saturday night. There will also be a series of tours, solar viewing and eco bush walks at the Gravity Discovery Centre during the day on Saturday. The weekend will both showcase the Dark Sky Reserve and highlight the connection between Western Science and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage.

The Gravity Discovery Centre & Observatory along with the Shire of Gingin presents the Neergabby Star Party.
